BOTOX® Cosmetic injections provide a non-surgical way of reversing some of the visible signs of aging. Following years of repetitive muscle usage in the face, wrinkles in the overlying skin will be produced. The injections are a natural purified protein that is typically used in the forehead, and the lines around the outer eye regions to decrease the activity of the wrinkle-producing facial muscles. Crow’s feet, frown lines between the eyebrows and forehead furrows are caused by the contractions of underlying facial muscles. These can lead to creases and wrinkles that are present when you are not-expressing emotion.

Visible results from the injections are typically seen in 5-10 days after injection. Patients should allow 2 weeks for an injection to take full effect before evaluating its results. The duration of effect of BOTOX® Cosmetic is typically 3-4 months; but variation can occur with patients.
